We at Forest Dental Care recognize the discomfort and pain that can be caused if you have a dental emergency. We understand the requirement for urgent care and aim to resolve your concerns as quickly as possible.

During surgery hours

Take advantage of our urgent appointment service by calling from 9.00 am Monday to Saturday, 10.00 am Sunday, so that we can provide an appointment based on your specific requirements.

Out of surgery hours

If an emergency dental problem arises after hours or on weekends and holidays, telephone the practice and listen to our recorded message for further instructions on what you can do next.

EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS

Emergency appointments are used to ease immediate discomfort. They do not include extensive treatment, and further appointments with your dentist may be necessary.

Home Care/Advice:

When faced with discomfort, over-the-counter pain relievers may provide temporary relief. NHS Direct can be reached on 111 for guidance on self-treatment options.

NHS out-of-hours or emergency dental care

NHS dental care is always available in an emergency if it is clinically necessary, whether or not you have a regular dentist. There out of hour’s emergency dental service that runs for North East London residents only who need urgent dental treatment when their practice is closed.
Patients can call the out of hours Emergency Dental Service on 111 to speak to a dentist for free advice and help finding emergency treatment.
The out of hours opening times are:

  • Weekdays 6.30pm – 8am
  • Weekends & Bank Holidays 24 hours 

From 14th December 2020, emergency and out-of-hours NHS dental care will cost you £23.80. You will not have to pay for emergency or out-of-hours care if you’re entitled to free NHS dental treatment. NHS fees are payable, subject to certain exemptions, for all work undertaken at evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Proof of exemption needs to be provided.

Non registered patients

If you are not registered with any dentist or are visiting from abroad and finding it difficult to get emergency treatment, you can call the practice and a member of our team will be happy to assist you in booking a private appointment.

A deposit is payable at the time of making the appointment. Once this is done, the booking is confirmed. The balance due for the private emergency appointment, together with payment for any related treatment done on the day, is payable prior to leaving the practice. Our dentists will do everything they can to get you out of immediate pain, including issuing a prescription for antibiotics if necessary.
